Teens & Dreams Program

Funded by the Oneida County Youth Bureau, the Teens & Dreams Program is designed to assist young people residing in the Adrean Terrace, N.D. Peters Manor, and F.X. Matt Apartments complex, as well as other low-income housing developments, to complete high school and enroll in college. The program targets middle school youth so it can provide long-term services to the same population in order to ensure high school completion. Activities are conducted on a year-round basis and are ongoing.

Services include financial aid counseling sessions, career and job readiness workshops, youth advisory council meetings, youth mentoring programs, recreational activities, tours of college campuses, career and motivational workshops, tutoring and homework help, and community service activities.

Volunteers are needed to provide tutoring and mentoring help to our youth residents, and training is available.
