NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, pursuant to Section 511 of the Quality Housing and Work Responsibility Act of 1998 (QHWRA), that the Municipal Housing Authority of the City of Utica, New York (UMHA) – People First (d/b/a/) – seeks to amend its Annual Agency Plan for FY 2022 to include Project Based Voucher activities.  To complement its redevelopment goals, the UMHA plans to add up to 50  units in Project Based Vouchers.  This may include on site or off-site of the projects to be redeveloped.  A public hearing will be held to receive comments on changes to the Agency's Annual Plan. Written comments may be submitted prior to or at the hearing.  The public hearing will be conducted at 6:00 p.m. on Monday June 20, 2022 in the Community Room at the Authority’s Main Offices located at the Perretta Twin Towers, 509 Second Street, Utica, New York 13501.  The proposed amended Agency Annual Plan is available for review at https://www.peoplefirstny.org/ or the Authority main offices as well as at each property management office located at our various housing developments from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.  Comments may be submitted in writing to John Furman, Director of Grants, Programs, Compliance and Monitoring, no later than 11:59 p.m., Monday, June 20, 2022 at the address indicated above.  Faxed submissions will be accepted at 315-735-3366.  Email comments should be sent to jfurman@peoplefirstny.org.  Any questions may be directed to 315.982.3731.
